DataGlyphics Unites Pinellas County Job Seekers, Employers

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – DataGlyphics Inc. today announced that WorkNet Pinellas, the County's workforce agency, selected DataGlyphics to design, develop, host and manage WorkNet's new employment Web site – www.worknetpinellas.org. The new Web site is scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2002.
"WorkNet Pinellas is partnerships with business leaders, government officials and community agencies – and we’re pleased to welcome DataGlyphics aboard. As a partner from our business community, DataGlyphics exhibits a sincere interest in the health and well-being of our County job market," said Bonnie Moore, Director of WorkNet Pinellas. "After reviewing various proposals from area companies, we chose DataGlyphics as our Web partner because of their complete understanding of our Web needs and their overall design and technical abilities."
Visitors to www.worknetpinellas.org will find vital information for job seekers, employers and students preparing for the workforce. For job seekers the site will provide support in all aspects of career enhancement, and for Pinellas County employers the site will help locate qualified employees with the skills and training required to fill available positions.
Online services for job seekers will include: job listings, information on filing unemployment insurance claims, salary and labor market information, links to job banks, child care service information, access to local, state and national labor markets, and more. WorkNet's online resources for employers will offer: information on finding applicants, recruiting information, links to job fairs, information on incentive programs, tax credit information, job postings, information on youth programs, and more.

The site will address the needs of three key groups in our labor market: the unemployed, our local employers and students preparing for the workforce," said William Stover, CEO of DataGlyphics. In addition to its Web site, WorkNet Pinellas operates three One-Stop Career Centers and two satellite centers throughout the county. These centers are designed to provide access to services including job placement and training, temporary cash assistance and special support services such as subsidized childcare and transportation.
Moore said, "The WorkNet Pinellas Web site is a valuable resource that will serve the needs of all our county residents 24 hours a day. We'll also continue providing employment services at our One-Stop Career Centers – but we strongly encourage job seekers to make worknetpinellas.org their first stop for vital employment information."
